Max started diving when he was 6 years old, and was a member of the Winston Churchill Swim and Dive team for his junior and senior years of high school. He first began coaching when he was 17 years old, and was the head coach during the summer for Regency Estates Swim Club in 2021 and 2022, followed by being the head coach for Potomac Swim and Tennis Club in 2024 and 2025. He graduated from Towson University in 2022 with a B.S. in Psychology, and will be attending the Louisiana State University flagship medical campus in New Orleans as a medical student starting in fall of 2026. As a coach, he loves to get to know the divers one on one and craft individual plans which adhere to the specific divers goals and capabilities. As a former MCDL diver for many years, he is well acquainted with the meet culture and excitement surrounding the summer seasons.

Romina Tuminaro

Junior Dive Coach

Romina began diving in mid-summer 2021 at Potomac Swim and Tennis Club. She fell in love with the sport from the first day she learned how to dive. That fall, she began year-round training through county programs, and by winter, her coach invited her to join the Montgomery Dive Club as one of the youngest members of its Junior Olympic team. She competed with the club for two years while continuing to dive during the summer season with MCDL. She is excited to coach younger divers at the club and is confident she will bring energy, enthusiasm, and a sense of fun to the sport.
