Dive Judge and Ref Training
To be certified as a JUDGE for an MCDL summer dive meet you must:
1. Complete the NFHS online training:
- Navigate to www.nfhslearn.com and create a free account.
- Once logged in, select "Officials" along the top vertical menu entitled "Courses For."
- When you are ready to take the course, from your dashboard select "My Courses" and click on "Start Course", 'Continue Course" or "Complete Course". This selection depends on how much of the course you have completed.
- Scroll down to locate the course entitled, "Judging Springboard Diving". While hovering over the course, "Start Learning" button will appear. Click on that "Start Learning" button.
- When you have completed the course, download your certificate. This can be found on your dashboard under “My Certificates”.
- Send your certificate to MCDL via the https://officials.
mcdiving.org/ portal following the following instructions. After creating an account, use the "Upload Training Certificate" button.
2. If you are a current certified official or if you are interested in becoming a dive official. MCDL has implemented a new management and self-service website for officials.
- Access this site via: https://officials.
mcdiving.org/ or from: mcdiving.org, - Navigate to the portals menu and select "Officials".
- Once you have gone to: https://officials.
mcdiving.org/ you will be prompted with a login screen: - If you have been an official in the last three years or are a Team Rep for 2026, you already have an account. Please select "forgot your password" and recover your account. The email used is the email you use for team communication for yourself.
- If you are a parent who hasn't been an official previously, please select " Sign up".
- Once you have created or recovered your account, training and certification are a self-service process. You can see your certification status, get help with certification, and register for MCDL Training.
- You can register for a training session by signing into your account via https://officials.
mcdiving.org/ - Dates for pool-side judge training are listed below.
- This training will focus on analyzing live diving and MCDL specific rules and willtypically last 90 minutes.
- The online training must be completed prior to attending the MCDL pool-side training.

May 31, Sunday 9:00 - 10:30 am at Manor Woods Pool
June 7, Sunday 8:15am - 9:45am at Regency Estates
June 9 6:00 - 7:30pm at Palisades
June 11 5:30 - 7:00pm at Glenwood
June 25 6:30-8:00pm at Flower Valley
To be certified to be a REFEREE for an MCDL summer dive meet you must:
- Be a certified MCDL Judge who has judged MCDL meets for one year
- Attend an MCDL Referee recertification training online or in-person
- Repeat this process every three years to keep your certification active.

June 9 7:30 - 8:15pm at Palisades
June 11 7:30 - 8:15pm at Glenwood
