Christopher Schlegel

Head Swim Coach 2007 - PRESENT
[email protected]

It was clear to Christopher Schlegel's parents that at a young age he loved the water. After successfully escaping the baby pool gate enough times, his parents decided it was time for him to take lessons. Chris began swim team in MCSL at the age of four at Hillandale Swim and Tennis. Chris grew up swimming at RMSC & JFD and playing soccer competitively year round in Montgomery County.

His coaching career began at Potomac in 2007. Chris brings an emphasis on sound fundamentals, hard work, progressive stroke mechanics, getting better each day and most importantly having fun. He is most known for his ridiculous meet outfits, over the top enthusiasm, and leading his favorite cheer "is this not the swimming pool".

Outside of Potomac, Chris is the head age group coach at All Star Aquatics in Bethesda, MD. He lives with his girlfriend Kelly and doggo Bambam in Glenwood.

Staci Armezzani
Assistant Head Swim Coach 2024 - PRESENT
[email protected]

Staci is very excited to be returning the PO coaching staff this year! She has been a coach for the last 10 years with RMSC and now ASA.  She is the head coach at  Quince Orchard High School during the winter season, and also coached for several years with Darnestown in the summer.

When not on the pool deck, Staci is teaching 5th grade at Lake Seneca Elementary School in Germantown. Staci is excited to bring her love of coaching and creativity to all of the swimmers at Potomac!

Ryan Albert
Assistant Coach 2026 - PRESENT
[email protected]

Ryan currently swims at the University of Maine, where he is majoring in Agriculture and minoring in animal science. His passion for swimming had first sparked as a young kid in MCSL for the legendary CCRA Stingrays since 2013. He continued his swimming journey on ASA, where he swam under Coach Chris, who taught him how fun the sport can be. One of the things Ryan enjoys most is sharing his love for the sport that has given him so much.

Alongside swimming, Ryan enjoys playing guitar, exploring outside, and spending time on his family farm. He can't wait to start another great summer with MCSL and be a part of the Mussel team!

Cameron House
Assistant Coach 2026 - PRESENT
[email protected]

Cameron House began swimming competitively at age five and trained year-round with All-Star Aquatics, while also competing each summer in the MCSL as a proud member of the Daleview Feet. She graduated from Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart in 2025, where she served as captain of the swim team in her senior year. Cameron recently completed her freshman season at the University of Wyoming, where she competes in swimming while studying Kinesiology and Nutrition.

Outside of the pool, Cameron enjoys hiking, reading, cooking, and spending time with friends and family—especially her dog, Hobbes. She is excited to start coaching at Potomac this summer and looks forward to meeting all the swimmers!
